There has been an increase in avascular necrosis of hip (AVN) cases in India following COVID-19.AVN hip is a condition of the hip when the blood supply to the ball of the hip joint is cut off. This results in bone collapse and finally hip arthritis. The early stages of this condition can be treated by stem cells and bone grafting. Advanced stages of the disease may require a hip replacement but since many people are young, hip replacement is not advisable for all of them. If one this lucky enough to catch the disease in the early stages, it can be treated with stem cell treatment in Chennai India. Stem cells with core decompression and bone grafting can be done to cure the early stages of the disease. If it works out a total hip replacement can be avoided. Avascular necrosis of the knee is less common than in the hip and can also be treated with SVF in Chennai. Advanced cases of Avascular necrosis hip will require a ceramic hip replacement.
